Coleman Under Federal Investigation
By Ned Resnikoff - Dec 10th, 2008 at 2:57 pmWell this is another fascinating turn in the ongoing Coleman-Franken vote count soap opera. Given all of the hubbub over where Coleman got his suits, I suppose it was always a matter of time before the FBI started checking him out.
So now even if he does prevail after all the votes are counted, he might not remain in the Senate for long. Or he might pull a Ted Stevens and dig his fingers in to the carpet even as Capitol Hill security tries to drag him out.
On a side note, what is it with the recent explosion in corruption scandals? Stevens, Palin, Blagojevich, Jackson Jr., Rangel, Coleman… it’s almost like this is the season when both parties deliberately roll out their best contenders for this year’s Golden Duke Awards.
